NEONATOLOGY

Neonatology means the specialty dealing with newborn babies. Newborn babies are considered as a separate period of childhood due to their structures and diseases. The reason why newborn babies are examined separately is that they differ in terms of anatomy and the speed of functioning of the body.

Neonatalists are responsible for the first 28 days after birth, that is, the 4-week period.
